Happy Holidays everybody! It’s our favorite time of the year! We get to spend time with our loved ones, dunk on horrible Christmas movies, eat our body weight in desserts, but most importantly we get to do our annual gift exchange! That’s the reason for the season, right? Before we give out our presents this year, The pod boys and their wives ranked the Grinch movies from best to worst and blows were nearly exchanged instead of gifts. But in all seriousness, it’s the holiday event of the year and we are excited to share it with you again and are already excited to lather, rinse, and repeat it all again in 2024. Merry Christmas from The Shot and The Chaser (and Hannah and Molly)!

Lock your doors and make sure you don’t leave your menacing children behind this Christmas! On our second week of the 2023 holiday season, we are diving into Bob Clark’s slasher classic, Black Christmas! To chase this down, we visit a movie we all saw on TV at some point in time, Home Alone! Matt shares his thoughts on Godzilla Minus One, Nick downloads a cursed movie, Joey doesn’t want his parents to listen to the show, and when are the boys seeing The Boy and The Heron? Find out now!

Happy Holidays you goons! To kick off the Christmas season, we decided to jump head first into arguably one of the worst movies ever to curse Tubi, Kirk Cameron’s Saving Christmas! To chase down this genuine poison, we returned to our lovable king of slapstick, Ernest P. Worrell in Ernest Saves Christmas! Nick’s nana is racist, Matt is still watching horror movies, Joey catches a W at the Regal Mystery Movie Night, and the boys evaluate religious holiday trauma! The suffering never ends!

Happy belated Turkey day everyone! We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and that your boomer relatives didn’t spark any weird fights about things they’re wildly misinformed about! On this year’s annual Thanksgiving special, the fellas are covering Eli Roth’s 16 years in the making commercial success, Thanksgiving. To chase this down, we went with the classic Charlie Brown Thanksgiving Special. The fellas discuss The Holdovers, Joey’s mom is seeing Garth Brooks, Matt discusses the correct length for an audiobook, and Nick is celebrating Thankmas with his family. Gobble gobble!

Beep Boop Cling Clang, iron enthusiasts! On this week’s episode, the boys get into the world of robotics and cinema while also discovering one of Disney’s (many) bizarre secrets! For our shot, we watched Shinya Tsukamoto’s cult classic, Tetsuo: The Iron Man. To chase this down, we truly suffered through David Kellogg’s final film, Inspector Gadget. There are too many Toy Story movies, Garfield looks somehow worse than the 2004 Garfield movie, and Jimmy Kimmel is hosting the Oscars again! Grab your WD-40 and check out the new episode now!

Good evening Evangelion fans. On this week’s episode, we are once again joined by Julius for our Godzilla episode that was recorded on time but released a way after Godzilla day. (insert 1998 Godzilla roar here). For the king of monsters big day, we sat down and watched Hideaki Anno’s Shin Godzilla. To chase this down, we watched Inishiro Honda’s 1954 kaiju masterpiece, Godzilla. Matt watches The Poughkeepsie Tapes, Nick does not like cotton candy flavored treats, Joey doesn’t think Joaquin Phoenix can sing, and Julius proves that he is the Godzilla expert. The new episode is out now! (insert 1998 Godzilla roar here).

Halloween is over, Christmas is officially here! What better way to kick off the holiday season than by watching a Rob Zombie movie that has nothing to do with joy at all? On this week’s episode, Clay Graham guest stars, and the fellas endure Zombie’s cult classic, House of 1000 Corpses. To chase this down, Joey gets another Jarmusch win with Dead Man! Happy Halloween cinephiles, and thanks for tuning into the 2nd annual Shot & Chaser Halloween Special! As some of you may remember, last year Nick gifted the fellas a copy of the 4-hour cut of Halloween for Christmas. It has laid dormant on all of our movie shelves all year and we finally sat down, turned off the lights, and watched the longest Halloween movie to date! We reviewed our take on this cut as well as the original cut of the trilogy, but Nick has a few tricks up his sleeve regarding the future of the Halloween franchise this spooky season. Also, a heated debate sparks once more as Nick and Joey clash over Avatar: The Last Airbender, and Matt introduces a new segment to the show! Prepare to be spooked!

Like zoinks dudes! We’re watching a low-budget sequel and a masterpiece tonight! On this week’s episode, the boys show Joey the Wes Craven vehicle, Scream. To chase this down, we rifled through the discount bin at Walmart and grabbed Scooby-Doo 2: Monsters Unleashed! The fellas discuss the last time they cried (all 3 were relatively recent), Joey spends the day at the movies, Nick reaches the next phase of weeb-ism and emulates Japanese PS1 games, and Matt leaves his Kermit the Frog figure in the basement. It’s gonna be a good time, as long as you like scary movies of course.
