WARNING: Playing our drinking game will have you blacked out by the end of the episode so please drink responsibly. On this week’s episode, the boys are joined by Roberto to discuss 2 movies about fighting AND the triumph of the human spirit (drink). For our shot, the boys became men with the 1976 Academy Award winner, Rocky. To chase this down, the men slightly returned to boy status with Jack Black’s underrated masterpiece, Nacho Libre. Matt’s soundboard has a mind of its own, Nick discusses his thoughts on egg yolks, Joey sees the light about Nacho Libre, and Berto hits a PR! Don’t be a bum, check out the new episode now!

PTA is one of the greatest filmmakers of all time and it’s not even a question. This is not our first PTA movie for the show and most definitely will not be the last, but for tonight’s shot the boys watched There Will Be Blood! You would think that Matt had seen this movie before, however, a misquote may convince you otherwise! To chase this down, Joey introduces the fellas to Kelly Reichert with Meek’s Cut Off, a movie that we could not remember the title of if our lives depended on it. The boys play Blockbuster, Jo Koy has never been funny, and Obama loves his own movies. The new episode is out now!

We’re starting the new year with a crisis (Letterboxd is down). Forgive us, we’re not ourselves without our life support system (Letterboxd. Which is down). On the first episode of 2024, the fellas expose Joey to another David Lynch masterpiece, Blue Velvet. To chase this down, Nick pledges his life for Bob Clark’s most despised movie on Letterboxd (down), Rhinestone! The boys adjust their top 5 of 2023 after seeing Poor Things, Nick horny watched masterpieces in high school, and we have to use imdb for somethings because unfortunately (and I cannot express this enough) Letterboxd is down. Pro members unite! The new episode is out now!

2023 has finally come to an end! Thank you for being with us through such a chaotic year for this planet. Contrary to popular belief, making a list of worst movies that came out is actually based and these lists should be celebrated. Joe Russo, it is okay to shit on a bad movie! With this firm stance in mind, join us as the fellas go over their honorable and dishonorable mentions of 2023 and their top 5 best and worst movies of 2023. Joey teaches the boys how Letterboxd Pro works, what is the human odyssey, and what is to come in 2024? Big plans of course! Sorry for the delay, the New Year Special is out now!

Happy Holidays everybody! It’s our favorite time of the year! We get to spend time with our loved ones, dunk on horrible Christmas movies, eat our body weight in desserts, but most importantly we get to do our annual gift exchange! That’s the reason for the season, right? Before we give out our presents this year, The pod boys and their wives ranked the Grinch movies from best to worst and blows were nearly exchanged instead of gifts. But in all seriousness, it’s the holiday event of the year and we are excited to share it with you again and are already excited to lather, rinse, and repeat it all again in 2024. Merry Christmas from The Shot and The Chaser (and Hannah and Molly)!

Lock your doors and make sure you don’t leave your menacing children behind this Christmas! On our second week of the 2023 holiday season, we are diving into Bob Clark’s slasher classic, Black Christmas! To chase this down, we visit a movie we all saw on TV at some point in time, Home Alone! Matt shares his thoughts on Godzilla Minus One, Nick downloads a cursed movie, Joey doesn’t want his parents to listen to the show, and when are the boys seeing The Boy and The Heron? Find out now!

Wednesday Dec 06, 2023

Happy Holidays you goons! To kick off the Christmas season, we decided to jump head first into arguably one of the worst movies ever to curse Tubi, Kirk Cameron’s Saving Christmas! To chase down this genuine poison, we returned to our lovable king of slapstick, Ernest P. Worrell in Ernest Saves Christmas! Nick’s nana is racist, Matt is still watching horror movies, Joey catches a W at the Regal Mystery Movie Night, and the boys evaluate religious holiday trauma! The suffering never ends!

Wednesday Nov 29, 2023

Happy belated Turkey day everyone! We hope you all had a wonderful Thanksgiving and that your boomer relatives didn’t spark any weird fights about things they’re wildly misinformed about! On this year’s annual Thanksgiving special, the fellas are covering Eli Roth’s 16 years in the making commercial success, Thanksgiving. To chase this down, we went with the classic Charlie Brown Thanksgiving Special. The fellas discuss The Holdovers, Joey’s mom is seeing Garth Brooks, Matt discusses the correct length for an audiobook, and Nick is celebrating Thankmas with his family. Gobble gobble!

Beep Boop Cling Clang, iron enthusiasts! On this week’s episode, the boys get into the world of robotics and cinema while also discovering one of Disney’s (many) bizarre secrets! For our shot, we watched Shinya Tsukamoto’s cult classic, Tetsuo: The Iron Man. To chase this down, we truly suffered through David Kellogg’s final film, Inspector Gadget. There are too many Toy Story movies, Garfield looks somehow worse than the 2004 Garfield movie, and Jimmy Kimmel is hosting the Oscars again! Grab your WD-40 and check out the new episode now!

Hello Lars Listeners! On this week’s episode, the fellas question how much they trust their wives after watching David Fincher’s Gone Girl. To chase down the fear that kept us awake at night, we let Craig Gillespie break our hearts with Lars and the Real Girl. The boys review Divinity, Nick gives a history lesson in Digimon, Joey is done with Taika Waititi, and Matt just doesn’t like when a movie gets wholesome. Tell your wife you love her more often! The new episode is out now!
