We're kicking off the new schedule with quite a combo. For our shot, the boys finally checked out I Saw the Devil (we love you Old Boy) and to chase this down we checked out the famous On Cinema bit, Oh God starring George Burns. It's been quite a journey, but we are at the homestretch of Oscar season! For this week's shot, the fellas got to check out Sing Sing, a profoundly under-loved nomination. To chase this down, most of us complete our animation nominations with Memoir of a Snail. The Girl with the Needle/Maria - The Monkey Musical Cinematic Universe

Only one more Oscar episode after this! On this week's episode, the boys dive into one of the best international nominations with The Girl with the Needle which disturbed us a lot more than we were expecting from an Oscar nomination. To chase this down, we watched Pablo Larrain's Maria, the 3rd installment in his 'Lady in Heels' trilogy. Best cinematography nomination? Unfortunately. Nick's having the week from hell, Matt and his father in law find new things to bond over, and Joey is going to finish all the Oscar movies before the big night! The new episode is out now!

Nickel Boys/Flow - The Hidden Oscar Gem

If you thought we hated Emilia Perez last week BOY are you in for a treat today. A movie that really deserves your attention this Oscar season is our shot, Nickel Boys. To chase this down, we checked out the 2 time Oscar nominated animated film, Flow, a sad animal movie that Joey prefaced by saying "It's not sad." Emilia Perez is still terrible, Nick has a watch party, and Matt shares his thoughts on The Wild Robot. The new episode is out now!

Emilia Perez/A Real Pain - The Oscar Binge Begins

It was A Real Pain having to watch Emilia Perez! After the nominations (awful) were announced we decided to take the next few weeks to knock out some of the heavy hitters for these years Academy Awards beginning with THE most controversial film Emilia Perez. A wildly racist AND transphobic hunk of  waste! To chase this down, we watched Jesse Eisenberg's A Real Pain which was neither racist nor transphobic! Huge W there. We go over the nominations, the snubs, and the overall rage of the whole damn thing. You don't wanna miss it! 

The Brutalist/Grand Theft Hamlet - A Beautiful Day at the Alamo

It's Oscar szn baby! To kick things off, the boys took a day trip to the Alamo and witnessed The Brutalist in all it's glory. To chase this down, we checked out the Mubi doc Grand Theft Hamlet, a movie filmed entirely in GTA online. We go over our wonderful meals, the beauty of the intermission, and a basic movie theater etiquette review as some people (in an Alamo no less) have forgotten how sitting in a movie theater works. Being a decent person must be difficult, but oh well. The new episode is out now!

Dune 1984/Spice World - If You Wanna Be My Lover, You Gotta Free My People

Absolutely insane that the last David Lynch movie we watched together was Dune mere days before his death. We are very emotional about it, but listen to how chipper we are in this episode because next week the laughing stops. To chase down the sci fi epic, we watched a true Lynchian masterpiece, Spice World! Nick scolds Matt on his Kingdom Hearts play style, Joey begins his descent into Bob Dylan fandom, and Matt just loves to say Kwisatz Haderach! The new episode is out now!

Carnal Knowledge/I Love You, Man - Boyhood is a Spectrum

Fellas, is it gay to love your homie and respect women? On this week's episode, the boys watch their first Mike Nichols movie together with Carnal Knowledge. To chase this down, we watched I Love You, Man and were all under the impression that Judd Apatow had something to do with this. Are we wrong for assuming that? Nick doesn't think Jack Nicholson has any sex appeal, Joey describes the perfect snow day, and Matt refuses to slap the bass as he approaches 30. The Best Movies of 2024 - Who's Excited for 2025?!

At long last, we have made our lists of the best movies of 2024 as well as some highly anticipated movies coming in 2025! We're excited to see what this year may bring and what movies we will endure. 2024 was a surprising year for movies to say the least, but what were some of your favorites?
