Cleo from 5 to 7/Before Sunset - The Worst People You Know Are Suffering (boohoo)

It's a Joey pick episode! I wanna apologize right off the top because half of this episode is just me and Joey commentating on the active Knicks v Celtics game (spoiler alert Knicks won and Celtics season is over). When we aren't being a sports pod, we were reviewing Agnes Varda's Cleo from 5 to 7 and then to chase this down we made the regrettable decision to watch Before Sunset. If that wasn't punishment enough we went ahead and finished the trilogy off with Before Midnight and we have LOTS to say about it. Go Knicks! The new episode is out now.

The Wicker Man/The Bee Movie - How 'Bout Them Lakers?

Buzz buzz cinephiles! On today's episode, the fellas tackle one of the Nic Cage's most controversial films (not the bees) The Wicker Man. To chase this down, Matt endured The Bee Movie for the first time in his life and it did not go well! Joey expresses confidence in the Lakers, Nick compares the original and 2006 Wicker Man, and Matt is watching Planet Earth. Bees are dying at an alarming rate! The new episode is out now

Gretel and Hansel/Hoodwinked - Fairy Tales with Attitude

Welcome back! How's everyone enjoying the every other week format? Hope you like it because it's here to stay. This week, Nick made the boys endure an early Ozgood Perkins take on the classic Hansel and Gretel story. To chase this down, we all took Advil and watched Hoodwinked which aged like fine wine. Nick makes the fellas listen to a song that is definitely not sexual, Joey fills us in on what's going on in Basketball, and Matt tells you how we won a sweepstakes to see a screener of a new movie! Incendies/Ride the Eagle - The Inability to Pronounce Villeneuve Returns

WE ARE BACK! Sorry we went MIA, things got a little hectic here but (as previously stated) we are SO back. Returning from our temporary hiatus, we got to watch one of Denis Villeneuve's earlier hits, Incendies. To chase this down we watch the definitive covid movie, Ride the Eagle. Drinking Buddies fans rejoice! Nick launches himself into the Gundam universe, Joey defends a new movie genre, and Matt reminds us that David Lynch never made a bad movie. Does Mickey 17 suck? I Saw the Devil/Oh God - Morgan Freeman God or George Burns God?

We're kicking off the new schedule with quite a combo. For our shot, the boys finally checked out I Saw the Devil (we love you Old Boy) and to chase this down we checked out the famous On Cinema bit, Oh God starring George Burns. Which sparks the title debate. Which God are you worshipping? Matt tells us all about the block chain, Nick's fridge won't stop running, and Joey continues to make the best use of his Regal pass. On this week's episode, the boys dive into one of the best international nominations with The Girl with the Needle which disturbed us a lot more than we were expecting from an Oscar nomination. To chase this down, we watched Pablo Larrain's Maria, the 3rd installment in his 'Lady in Heels' trilogy. Best cinematography nomination? Unfortunately. If you thought we hated Emilia Perez last week BOY are you in for a treat today. A movie that really deserves your attention this Oscar season is our shot, Nickel Boys. To chase this down, we checked out the 2 time Oscar nominated animated film, Flow, a sad animal movie that Joey prefaced by saying "It's not sad." Emilia Perez/A Real Pain - The Oscar Binge Begins

It was A Real Pain having to watch Emilia Perez! After the nominations (awful) were announced we decided to take the next few weeks to knock out some of the heavy hitters for these years Academy Awards beginning with THE most controversial film Emilia Perez. A wildly racist AND transphobic hunk of  waste! To chase this down, we watched Jesse Eisenberg's A Real Pain which was neither racist nor transphobic! Huge W there. We go over the nominations, the snubs, and the overall rage of the whole damn thing. You don't wanna miss it!
